O’karo Etim Akamune

 Etim Akamune is a former professional basketball player and a respected leader in basketball development across Africa. He currently serves as Lead of Operations for NBA Nigeria, where he supports and oversees grassroots initiatives, youth programs, and development efforts that extend beyond Nigeria and into the wider African continent.

Etim has attended all three Smart Sport Coaches Clinics in Nigeria, experiencing firsthand the foundation’s impact on coaches and young athletes. His consistent involvement and commitment to growing the game led him to join the Smart Sport Foundation Board, where he contributed his expertise, passion, and continent-wide perspective to advance the foundation’s mission across Africa.
