Alecsandra renfroe

Alecsandra Renfroe is a dedicated mental health professional with a deep passion for community care and social impact. She currently serves as the Basketball Operations Wellness Specialist for the Portland Trail Blazers, where she supports staff wellness and collaborates on mind health programming with the team’s Director of Mind, Health & Wellness.

Alecsandra’s commitment to serving others is rooted in her upbringing in the church and nonprofit experience. She completed a Clinical Internship at William Temple House, a Portland-based organization providing accessible mental health counseling and essential services to individuals facing hardship. She also interned at Seattle Union Gospel Mission’s Hope Place Shelter for Women and Children, where she supported women and families navigating recovery, housing instability, and trauma.

With a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Portland State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Seattle Pacific University, Alecsandra brings both academic rigor and heartfelt compassion to her work. Her career is guided by a belief in the power of healing, dignity, and equitable access to care—and she remains deeply committed to giving back to the communities that shaped her.

Alecsandra is thrilled to be part of the Smart Sport Foundation team, where she can continue uplifting others and amplifying the message of holistic wellness and community empowerment. She looks forward to helping expand the Foundation’s impact and inspiring meaningful change through sport and service.
